Terms of Service
The guidelines and agreements for using hiddenfile.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using hiddenfile ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using the platform.
2. Service Description and Fair Use
hiddenfile provides an anonymous, encrypted secure file and text sharing platform. To ensure performance and availability, the following fair use limitations apply to access tiers:
- Anonymous (Guest): Maximum 20MB per share (1 file max), and sharing links automatically expire after 12 hours or upon first access.
- Registered Users: Up to 5 files per share, custom expiration limits, and secure email share notifications.
- Fair Usage: System resources must not be abused by automated bots, scraping scripts, or flood attempts.
3. Content Responsibility
Because we utilize zero-knowledge end-to-end encryption for PIN-protected files, you retain exclusive control and full responsibility for the content you share. You represent and warrant that you hold all necessary rights and permissions to distribute any uploaded data.
4. Prohibited Content
You must not upload, share, or transmit any files or text that:
- Contain malware, ransomware, spyware, or malicious code designed to disrupt computer networks.
- Violate applicable copyright, trademark, or intellectual property laws.
- Contain illegal materials or violate international regulations.
We reserve the right to instantly and permanently remove any content or delete accounts found in violation of these rules.
5. Service Disclaimers and Purging
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Since hiddenfile is designed to enforce strict automatic purging of expired or self-destructed files, we are not responsible for any permanent deletion of data. We recommend maintaining external backups of critical sharing documents.
